Victoria Elise Michael has been recognized as Foster Parent Mentor in the state of Oklahoma, fostered 12 children, and adopted her 2 children from the foster care system. She has spent a significant portion of her adult life supporting, encouraging, and mentoring survivors of abuse.
In 2006 while working at Dell, she was awarded a Global Volunteer of Distinction award. Her book, Abuse is Not My Story, however, is a personal message of hope.
She is open and vulnerable about her personal struggle to find healing and hope after abuse defined for her a life which caused her to feel isolated, dirty, and different. Abuse is Not My Story celebrates healing and encourages other Survivors on their journey to heal from abuse.
